ECB overnight lending rockets to 19-month high


Overnight lending by the European Central Bank (ECB) shot up to its highest level in just under 19 months on Wednesday, data published by the central bank on Thursday revealed.

Borrowing from the ECB's marginal lending facility, which eurozone banks can use to obtain overnight funds against collateral, leapt to €15.8 billion ($21.4 billion).
