QE2 hopes reflected in dollar, risk reversal trends: BIS

The fallout from the Federal Reserve's second round of quantitative easing and concern over the viability of peripheral eurozone sovereigns shaped global markets from late August to early December, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS)' Quarterly Review, published Monday, said.

The BIS pointed to the dollar's depreciation against a range of currencies as a key development in the quarter, linking this to anticipation that the Fed would embark on second round of treasury bill purchases
