Estonia on the lookout for dud euro notes


The Bank of Estonia has started to train bank tellers and shop assistants in identifying counterfeit euro banknotes in preparation for adoption of the single currency in January 2011.

Officials from the Bank of Finland, the Finnish National Bureau of Investigation and Nordea Pankki Suomi Oyj, a financial services group, travelled to Tallinn this week in a bid to educate cash handlers across the Baltic state about the euro's security features.
