Stimulus saved Asia, but currency changes crucial: ADB


The emerging Asian economies will continue to forge ahead, with growth for this year set to trump 2009's figures by a healthy margin, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said on Tuesday.

The Manila-based development bank's annual Asian Development Outlook report said the region was set to grow by 7.5% this year, compared to 5.2% in 2009, riding the wave of the ongoing recovery in global trade and the residual effects of substantial stimulus packages.
