Watch money growth like ECB does: Trichet
Jean-Claude Trichet, the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), on Tuesday called for the rest of the world to follow Europe's lead in ensuring monetary aggregates influence monetary policy.
In a panel discussion at the Reserve Bank of Australia's 50th anniversary symposium, Trichet said: "I take this opportunity to raise awareness in the central banking community of the importance of monetary analysis and its implications, both for economies individually and globally."
