Fed reiterates plans for February exit

The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) and the Federal Reserve's board of governors on Wednesday said it anticipates unwinding many of its crisis-fighting operations in February, in line with the deadline set out in the summer.

The FOMC said following its latest policy vote: "In light of ongoing improvements in the functioning of financial markets, the committee and the board of governors anticipate that most of the Federal Reserve's special liquidity facilities will expire on 1 February consis
