Nigeria’s banking landscape set to change: Sanusi

Smaller banks could be the future, suggested Lamido Sanusi, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, in an interview last week.

In an interview with The Africa Report, a bi-monthly magazine, he said that large financial institutions tended not to serve small businesses, and smaller banks were needed to lend to sectors such as manufacturing and agriculture.
