Lithuania’s Sarkinas gloomy on banking outlook

Reinoldijus Sarkinas, the governor of the Bank of Lithuania, has warned that the banking sector's plight is likely to intensify in the coming months.

Sarkinas was quoted by the Baltic News Agency as saying to lawmakers that the crisis was now "coming closer to the banks." He was also reported as saying that the industry had recorded a net loss of LTL628m ($259m).
