Two new Fed governors will attend policy meeting

US - Two new governors will take part in the Federal Reserve's interest-rate deliberations tomorrow.

Susan Schmidt Bies and Mark W. Olson were sworn in as Federal Reserve governors by Chairman Alan Greenspan Friday, the Fed said. They were confirmed by the Senate Thursday and will fill positions that have been vacant for more than two years.

They will join the Fed's seven-member board of governors, which will briefly have a full slate for the first time in years. Not all seven will attend
