Taiwan signs MOU with Philippines central bank

Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission announced Friday 2 February it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central Bank of the Philippines.

The agreement is aimed at establishing a formal basis for financial cooperation between the two sides, it said.

The commission said that the signing of the agreement will strengthen the sharing of financial supervisory information. It also said that Taiwan is the Philippines' sixth largest trading partner.
