Czech's Tuma predicts currency depreciation

Zdenek Tuma, the governor of the Czech National Bank, has said that he expects recent gains in the koruna to be corrected.

The koruna has risen from Kcs26.54 to Kcs24.96 against the euro since the start of the year.

Tuma told reporters at a conference that there was "no reason" for the appreciation. "It seems to me that the crown is out of all conceivable levels, the firming does not have any fundamental causes, there can be a certain correction," he said.
