William McDonough will attend the Federal Reserve's May 6 meeting of the FOMC before taking up his position at the SEC, the Fed said on Wednesday.

The New York Federal Reserve said on Wednesday its President William McDonough will attend the central bank's next policy meeting on May 6, before he moves to take up his new job as head of a new top accounting watchdog body.

Departing Fed bank presidents usually do not attend the last Federal Open Market Committee meeting of their tenure
