Fed minutes show concern on curbing inflation

Keeping inflation under control remains the top concern for Federal Reserve policymakers, minutes published Wednesday 15 November showed.

Fed chairman Ben Bernanke and his colleagues on the Federal Open Market Committee saw the current rates of core inflation as "uncomfortably high" at their most recent meeting and pledged to watch incoming economic data closely before deciding whether to raise interest rates further.
