Bank of Israel governor David Klein has criticised Sunday's (26 October)cabinet approval for the establishment of a central bank advisory committee controlled by key business sector figures. Although the committee lacks the power to determine the level of interest rates, economists agreed it would be a thorn in the side of the governor.
