Tanigaki: G7 likely to keep same forex message

Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki said high oil prices are expected to top the agenda when G7 finance chiefs meet in Washington later this week.

He also said the G7 is likely to leave its message on foreign exchange rates unchanged.

"We believe the matter will be discussed in terms of how soaring crude oil prices will affect the global economy," Tanigaki told a news conference.
