Bank of England voted 7-1 to hold rates

Bank of England policymakers voted 7-1 to leave UK interest rates unchanged at their 7-8 June meeting, minutes released Wednesday 21 June showed.

David Walton was the only member of the bank's Monetary Policy Committee to call for a quarter percentage point increase, for the second month.

First-time voter David Blanchflower and his six other colleagues kept the rate unchanged for a 10th month.
