Japan's recession is coming to an end says Hayami

JAPAN - Bank of Japan governor Masaru Hayami said on Friday that the recession which started 20 months ago is comingto an end, adding that he was watching the impact of strong exports and output on the country's non-manufacturers and households.

"First-quarter GDP rose 1.4 percent as exports posted big gains and capital spending declined," he told a news conference, and this is Japan's its strongest performance in two years. "The economic trend is pretty much in line with our view." He added that
