ECB net forex reserves

GERMANY - The Eurosystem's net foreign currency reserves decreased by EUR0.1 billion to EUR255.3 billion in the week ended 14 December.
GERMANY - The Eurosystem's net foreign currency reserves decreased by EUR0.1 billion to EUR255.3 billion in the week ended 14 December.

The European Central Bank said Tuesday in its weekly financial statement. The change was due to customer and portfolio transactions.

Reserves in gold and gold receivables remained unchanged on the week at EUR128.228 billion. The ECB also said that cash in circulation decreased by EUR5.2 billion to EUR296.9 billion.

Liabilities to the general government fell by EUR15.5 billion to EUR38.7 billion. The Eurosystem consists of the Frankfurt-based ECB and the 12 euro-zone national central banks.
