Cleveland Fed president optimistic on economy

Sandra J. Pianalto, president of the Cleveland Fed, said Tuesday that jobs will be created with innovations in technology and there are many positive signs in the US economy.

Pianalto told an audience of students and others at Kent State University that although the American economy is in the third year of a recovery, employment growth is the slowest in 50 years, and service jobs are just as vulnerable as manufacturing jobs to being moved offshore.
