Bernanke's prudent investments

Ben Bernanke, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, is a cautious investor, which a portfolio of financial assets consisting of mostly US Treasury securities, mutual funds and annuities.

Bernanke is obliged by law to disclosure his investments. According to a report by the Associated Press this week, Bernanke, who was an academic economist before taking the top job at the Fed, had total assets valued at between $1.12m and $2.41m.
