BOE minutes - MPC voted 7-2 to hold repo rate 4.0%

UK - Seven members of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee voted to keep the repo rate on hold at 4.0% in February, according to minutes of the meeting released Wednesday.

Just Sushil Wadhwani and Christopher Allsopp voted against the majority, preferring a quarter percentage point cut to bring inflation back to its target and as further insulation against a rebound in world economic activity.
