Broaddus: Fed can maintain low rates
The Fed can maintain an accommodative monetary policy until the US output gap narrows, said Alfred Broaddus, president of the Richmond Fed in a television interview on Wednesday, according to a report by Reuters.
"Until actual growth in demand accelerates and allows this gap between the potential level of growth in the economy and the actual level to close, we're going to have a situation where I think the Fed can probably remain quite accommodative," said Broaddus.
