SARB mints Mandela coin
The coin features a smiling portrait of Mandela, who will celebrate his 90th birthday on 18th July. Mandela's face is portrayed at a three-quarter angle, as is traditional for South African coins, and he is wearing a signature pattern shirt.
The Reserve Bank worked with the South African Mint Company, the Ministry of Finance and the Nelson
