Eurozone inflation remains at four-year low

Inflation in the 12-nation eurozone stood at a four-year low point of 1.6 percent in March, unchanged from February, Eurostat said in a preliminary estimate on Wednesday 31 March.

The European Central Bank has a medium-term ceiling for eurozone inflation of 2.0 percent.

Eurostat said no detailed breakdown was available by country for its "flash estimate". The final March figures will be available on April 16.
