Bank of England MPC Minutes, 12 &13 January

The minutes from the 12 & 13 January meeting of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee published on Wednesday 26 January showed the nine members voted unanimously to hold rates at 4.75 per cent.

The minutes revealed no discussion of the possibility of cutting rates, in contrast to the December meeting, when the committee considered the option of cutting, but not raising, rates.
