Federal Reserve Board - Beige Book, April 2005

The Federal Reserve published its April 2005 Beige Book survey on Wednesday 20 April. The report said US business activity continued to expand through early April, but price pressures from rising energy costs have intensified in some areas.

"Reports from all twelve Federal Reserve Districts indicate that business activity continued to expand from late February through early April," the Fed's beige book summary of economic conditions said.

"Price pressures have intensified in a number of Districts
