Greece looks for Papademos replacement at cen bank

GREECE - Greece is likely to pick Panagiotis Thomopoulos or Nick Garganas, both deputy Bank of Greece governors, to succeed Lucas Papademos as head of the country's central bank, the Greek press said on Monday.

Papademos, credited for running a monetary policy that steered Greece into the euro zone, was picked by European Union finance ministers on Saturday to be the next vice president of the European Central Bank (ECB).
