Korea's central bank to restructure

The Bank of Korea (BOK) is to revamp its internal structure in an apparent bid to repair its reputation as an influential voice in the nation's economy, the Korea Times reported Tuesday.

The central bank's influence on the economy has declined over the past few years, said Kang Moon-soo, a member of the monetary policy committee, the BOK's policy setting body.

"The monetary policy committee's call rate revision hike, cut or freeze every month has no more crucial impact on the nation's economy,"
