Argentina's Galicia aims for debt accord this week

ARGENTINA - Argentina's largest private bank, Banco Galicia , expects this week to find a foreign partner to reduce its $1.5 billion debt as financial crisis hits the embattled sector, a company executive said on Monday.

Galicia, suffering from a run on deposits amid nationwide financial chaos that has squeezed liquidity and sparked fears of a collapse in the banking system, had failed to convince the Central Bank to take over around half the company's shares in return for massive debt
