Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan will testify on the U.S. central bank's semiannual report on monetary policy Feb. 16 before the Senate Banking Committee, the panel said on Friday.

The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. EST (1500 GMT), the committee said.

Greenspan is also expected to testify before the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee at some point after his Senate appearance, but a date for that hearing has not yet been set.
