RBA appoints head of economic research

The Reserve Bank of Australia announced on Monday 8 November the appointment of Dr Christopher Kent to the position of Head of Economic Research.

Dr Kent, a graduate of the Australian National University, holds a PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has had extensive experience in economic research and policy analysis both at the Reserve Bank and the IMF. His research has focused on inflation targeting, the role of asset prices in monetary policy and financial
