Broaddus US economy strong, inflation contained

Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President Alfred Broaddus said Tuesday 6 July that the U.S. economy looks strong, and inflation does not appear to be a problem but the Federal Reserve will "walk the walk" to ensure price stability.

"I think inflation will remain well contained," Reserve Bank of Richmond President Alfred Broaddus told the Southeastern Association of Tax Administrators.

"We remember how terribly painful and difficult it was to bring it (inflation) down and how long it took to bring
