Fed's McTeer - Rate cuts not effective enough yet

US - Four percentage points worth of rate cuts by the Federal Reserve have so far not done enough to help the struggling U.S. economy, Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Robert McTeer said Wednesday.

Answering audience questions after participating in a conference panel discussion here, McTeer said the Fed's monetary policy this year "hasn't been effective enough to please us." But he added: "That doesn't mean it hasn't been effective."
