Swedish c.bank says one member opposed rate hike

Sweden's central bank, the Riksbank, said one of its six board members did not support this month's increase of Sweden's key repurchase rate by 25 basis points to 4.00 percent.

On December 7, the Riksbank raised the rate in a widely expected move to steady a booming economy. But board member Villy Bergstrom believed the rate should remain unchanged at 3.75 percent, according to minutes of the meeting published on Wednesday.
