Cote d'Ivoire urges UEMOA solidarity

Ivorian commerce and industry minister, Bohoun Bouabre, has called for greater cooperation among the eight-nation West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).

Speaking at a press conference in Abidjan, on his return from the Union's Ministerial Council meeting in Bamako Mali, Bouabre said that Cote d'Ivoire supported the adoption of provisions requiring the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), to take "appropriate measures to assist members of the Union facing difficulties."
