New monetary policy instrument in Croatia

"At its meeting held on Wednesday, September 20 2000, the Council of theCroatian National Bank, chaired by Governor dr. Zeljko Rohatinski, decidedto introduce unified obligatory reserve requirements on kuna and foreigncurrency deposits, thus effecting an important change in the set of monetarypolicy instruments at the disposal of the Croatian central bank and bringingit closer to the practice and standards of the European Union.
