Israel's Klein may take Treasury to court

The Bank of Israel is expected to file a petition with the High Court on Friday against Finance Ministry Wages Director Yuval Rachlevksy, claiming he has no authority to meddle in wage decisions at the central bank.

Governor David Klein is expected to argue in the law suit that because most of the bank's practices and work conditions have been in force since before 1985, the year in which the basic law on the state budget was passed, the director cannot prevent the bank from continuing to pay out
