Montenegro to found central bank

The Montenegrin authorities are forming a central bank to become the republic's independent organization responsible for monetary policies, establishing and maintaining a healthy banking system, and effective payment operations.

According to a bill, which has entered the Montenegrin assembly, the Central Bank of Montenegro will not be able to issue currency or provide loans to the government or to other physical and legal parties. The central bank will be capitalised with DM5m. It will be
