Reynders says would not rule out top ECB job

BELGIUM - Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders said he had never ruled out an interest in taking the job of president of the European Central Bank, Le Soir newspaper reported on Thursday.

Reynders also said in an interview that Greek central bank governor Lucas Papademos was standing for the job of ECB vice-president and that Austria would also have a candidate.

"I have never said that I would not be interested in the presidency of the ECB, but not (just as) a member of the board," Reynders
