RBA appoints Frank Campbell as assistant governor

The Reserve Bank of Australia has announced the appointment of Frank Campbell to the post of Assistant Governor, Corporate Services department.

Mr Campbell, who joined the central bank in 1977, moves to the post after spending the past four years as Head of Domestic Markets department.

Mr Campbell replaces Les Austin, who is retiring from the RBA after a career in its economic, financial institutions, markets and corporate services departments. Mr Austin will continue his board membership of Note Printing Australia and Securency.

The RBA said Mr Campbell as head of domestic markets by Malcolm Edey. Mr Edey currently is Head of Economic Analysis department.
