The BMA's new governor arrives

BAHRAIN - The new governor of the Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA), Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Khalifa, has taken up his position. He was appointed at the same time as the mid-April cabinet reshuffle.

Shaikh Ahmed joins the BMA after serving as director of the Bahrain Stock Exchange (BSE) for almost four years. Before that he was on the staff of the Finance & National Economy Ministry.

Shaikh Ahmed replaces Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa al-Khalifa, who has been appointed chief executive for the Civil
