Balcerowicz might be seeking Polish cenbank post

Leszek Balcerowicz, the author of Poland's free market reforms in the early 1990s, said on Friday he would quit his political leadership role, amid expectations he will seek the post of central bank governor.Former finance minister Balcerowicz, who was increasingly criticised for his authoritarian style and his image as an uncaring advocate of financial austerity, has run the liberal Freedom Union (UW) party since 1995.
