Iran doesn't need more central bank independence

According to the Mehr News Agency, Iran's deputy economy minister has said the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) does not need more independence.

The deputy economy and finance minister remarked: "The Central Bank of Iran [CBI] has sufficient independence for policy-making in the banking domain, and there is no need for more independence."
