Y V Reddy set to become new RBI governor

YV Reddy will succeed Bimal Jalan as the next governor of the Reserve Bank of India. Reddy, India's executive director in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), got the nod at a high-level meeting convened late Tuesday night by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
