Ireland set for yes vote on Nice Treaty

IRELAND - Ireland looks to be on course to ratify the Nice Treaty, which paves the way for enlargement of the European Union, according to the last opinion poll before tomorrow's referendum.

A poll in the Irish Times yesterday suggested 42 per cent would vote Yes against 29 per cent No. But much could still depend on turnout and the behaviour of the estimated fifth of the electorate who are still undecided.
