Duisenberg eyes recovery, says ECB rates correct

Wim Duisenberg said in testimony Wednesday "Indications of an upturn in economic activity starting in the second half of the year have strengthened" and that the key ECB interest rates are considered "appropriate at present".

European Central Bank president Wim Duisenberg said Wednesday signs of recovery in the euro zone in the second half of the year were building and that the ECB's key interest rates were "appropriate at present".
