Fed Ferguson - Timing of recovery still uncertain

US - US Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Roger Ferguson said US data had moved to be more mixed than negative but it was too early to pinpoint the timing of an economic recovery.

"There are some positive elements and some negative elements. Last year the information was more heavily negative," he told reporters after giving a lecture to the International Centre for Monetary and Banking Studies in Geneva.

Asked about the timing of an American economic recovery, he replied: "While data has been mixed
