Ukraine's Yushchenko appeals rigged election

Ukraine's opposition leader and former president of the National Bank of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, is appealing against the vote count in the recent presidential election to the country's Supreme Court.

Ukraine's Supreme Court on Thursday blocked the inauguration of Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, the declared winner of Sunday's presidential election, agreeing to hear arguments that the vote was subject to widespread fraud.
