DSK calls on G20 to bolster IMF coffers

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has urged G20 leaders to discuss ways to boost the Fund's resources at this weekend's summit.

In a letter addressed to G20 heads of government and officials, Strauss-Kahn said: "There may be concerns in markets that the official resources needed to stabilise the situation are inadequate - which could exacerbate the problem as investors head for the exits."
