New Deputy Governor joins Barbados central bank

BARBADOS - The Central Bank of Barbados has welcomed its new Deputy Governor, Carlos Holder. Mr. Holder took up responsibilities for the Research and Bank Supervision Departments, effective 1 June.

Commenting on his new appointment Mr. Holder said: "I am happy to be returning to the institution where I spent so many productive years." Mr. Holder worked with the Bank between 1981 and 1991 as an Economist.

Mr. Holder holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of the West Indies
